My name is Joe Allen and I have been taking photos for as long as I can remember. Dad was a photographer during WWII and photographed pictures during the war in the South Pacific. When he returned to civilian life, he went to work for Towel Silversmith in Newburyport, MA. Dad had a darkroom at home and freelanced taking wedding pictures for several years. In the mid 50's, he changed occupations, but never gave up his one true love, photography. Only now has it become evident of the vast quanity and quality of his photo's. Dad had an eye for a photo and the composition brought that photo to life. Some of his best shots were taken in black and white and of inanimate objects. Bridges seemed to be his favorite. I hope that some of those skills Dad had, are instilled in me. I do enjoy taking photo's and hope that you enjoy looking at them.
